Cap Finistere, which joined Brittany Ferries in March 2010, has a less formal atmosphere than the Pont-Aven. There's still plenty of facilities onboard though with dining areas and cafes, outdoor decks for a stroll, plus on some crossings makeovers and massages.

Getting there by car

From London, take the M3 or A3. From the Midlands take the M3 to the A34, and from the South West take the A31. From Bristol and south Wales take the A36. These roads lead to the M275, from which an exit road leads directly to the port.

By Train

Train services between London Waterloo and Portsmouth take around 85 minutes. Other services between London Victoria and Portsmouth pass through Chichester, Brighton and Gatwick. From Cardiff the train passes through Salisbury and Bristol. Portsmouth stations include Portsmouth & Southsea and Portsmouth The Hard Interchange, both of which are close to the Port. A shuttle bus runs from each station between May and September. Taxis can also be taken for a fair of approximately £5

By Coach

There are regular coach services between Portsmouth and London Victoria and Heathrow Airport. Connections operate from London to the rest of the UK.

On Foot

For the more energetic, it takes approximately 20 minutes to walk to the ferry terminal from the town centre, and 30 minutes from Portsmouth & Southsea train station.

Parking at Portsmouth Ferry Terminal

There is a 516 space car park (max. vehicle height 2.2m) at the port - just follow the signs. Disabled parking is available on the ground floor. Luggage trolleys are available for a £1.00 deposit. Payment for the car park is made upon exit. It is run by Apcoa who can be contacted on 02392 873378.

Caravans may be parked in the check-in lanes after the last departure of the day but note that there are no facilities available overnight.
